Born in Temanggung regency, Central Java, on 8th October 1952, Bambang earned a Ph.D in business administration from the University of Kentucky in 1985. He has been working as a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University's School of Economics (1987-present). Bambang, a professor, was a finance minister during Abdurrahman Wahid's administration. A confidant of National Mandate Party (PAN) leader Amien Rais,1 Bambang is a former chairman of the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI) and PAN treasurer. |
