Profile | Born in Boyolali, Central Java, on 1st August 1944 and graduating from the Naval Academy in 1968, Widodo became Indonesian Military (TNI) chief during the Abdurrahman Wahid administration from October 1999 to June 2002. He was the first Naval officer to take the military's top job, heading the Navy before being promoted to deputy TNI chief during president BJ Habibie's term. | |
