Talk: The Distinction Between Mainstream and Radical Islam

Dear PWHCE reader in Melbourne Australia,

You are cordially invited to a talk to be given by Mr Trevor Stanley, entitled "The Distinction Between Mainstream and Radical Islam." Trevor has just written an honours thesis on the ideology and precursors of the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation. In the process, he developed a perspective concerning the points at which differences have arisen between mainstream and radical Sunni Islam.

Mr Stanley's talk will be held :-
    at 7:30pm, on Wednesday 26th November 2003
    at Bell's Hotel and Brewery
      157 Moray Street South Melbourne
      (Corner of Coventry Street)
      Melway ref:- 2K E1
Given the challenge that radical Islam currently poses, Trevor's talk offers the opportunity to obtain an insight into this phenomenon and the impact it is having on mainstream Islam.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and make comments after the talk.

The hotel management would be appreciative if guests availed themselves of the opportunity to purchase a meal and/or drinks at the bar between 6:30 pm and 7:00pm. The talk will commence at 7:30pm in the upstairs function room.

RSVP:- Thursday 20th November 2003.
