Talk: Lessons From the Iraq War

You are cordially invited to a talk to be given by Mr Michael O'Connor AM, the Executive Director of the Australia Defence Association (ADA). Mr. O'Connor's talk is entitled "Lessons From the Iraq War"

We are trying out a new, quiet venue, the upstairs room at the Smith Street Bar in Collingwood.

Mr O'Connor's talk will be held :-
    at 7:30pm, on Tuesday, 29th April, 2003
    at The Smith Street Bar
      (In the upstairs room)
      14 - 18 Smith Street, Collingwood
      (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia)
      Melways ref:- 2C D12 corner of Mason Street,
      between Gertrude St and Victoria Pde.

Mr Michael O'Connor, a former patrol officer and naval intelligence officer, is a regular contributor to various publications, including the Financial Review. He has been the Executive Director of the Australia Defence Association since 1981. He is recognised as one of Australia's foremost defence experts.

The war in Iraq raises many important questions about Australia's defence capabilities in a climate of increasing conflict and instability. We are fortunate to have this opportunity to be briefed by someone of Mr O'Connor's expertise. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions of Mr O'Connor at the conclusion of his talk.

There will be an opportunity to purchase a meal and/or drinks at the bar between 6-45pm and 7-00pm. The talk will commence at 7-30, in the upstairs room. The stairs are directly in front of the entrance.
